Founded in 1917, the Institut d’Optique Graduate School (IOGS) is a higher education and research institution internationally recognized as a leader in the fields of optics and photonics, both in terms of the quality of its education and research, and its focus on innovation and entrepreneurship.
For the past decade, IOGS has positioned itself as a Graduate School. Its historical integration with a prestigious university for over a century makes it naturally suited for strategic alliances on its three campuses in France — with Université Paris-Saclay, Université de Bordeaux, and Université de Saint-Étienne.
Despite being spread across three national sites, the institution maintains a unified identity and awards a single engineering degree.
